Common questions before ordering. If your situation is not covered, email support@cyvorsaunas.com.
This is the first decision. A 1-person infrared works for a single user in an apartment. A 2-person works if you want company occasionally. 3 and 4-person sizes give room for a couple to lie down or families to share the experience. Bigger is not always better — larger units take longer to heat and use more electricity.
Indoor saunas need a dedicated room or large closet (most need 4 by 5 feet of floor space minimum, plus electrical hookup). Outdoor saunas need level ground, weatherproofing, and a 240V line. If you have a backyard and want a centerpiece, outdoor barrel or contemporary models work great. If you want privacy and year-round convenience, indoor is the way.
Infrared heats your body directly with deep, lower-temperature warmth (110 to 140°F). It uses less power, plugs into a standard 110V outlet, and you sweat at lower temperatures. Traditional Finnish saunas use an electric stone heater for higher dry-and-steam temperatures (160 to 195°F) with adjustable löyly. Traditional needs a 240V dedicated circuit, but it is the authentic experience. Many of our customers eventually own both.
Yes. All Cyvor saunas ship in pre-cut panels through standard residential doorways (32 inches minimum). Two people can carry the panels into place; assembly happens at the final location. Check the dimensions in each product description for specifics.
If your physician provides a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) for a qualifying condition, our saunas are typically eligible. We provide an LMN template and a detailed receipt at no charge. Eligibility depends on your specific plan; verify with your administrator before ordering. Full info on the HSA / FSA page.
Yes. Two-person residential assembly, typically 2 to 4 hours. Tools required: screwdriver, basic level. The crate ships with all hardware and printed instructions. For traditional / outdoor / contemporary models that need 240V, you should hire a licensed electrician for the wiring step.
